Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and understand how you interact with the service.
2. Cookies We Use
Tractn uses a minimal set of cookies, primarily for authentication. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies on the Tractn application itself.
2.1 Essential Cookies (Required)
These cookies are necessary for the platform to function and cannot be disabled.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Supabase authentication session | 1 hour | First-party |
| sb-*-auth-token-code-verifier | PKCE verification for OAuth flows | Session | First-party |
2.2 Optional Analytics and Your Cookie Choice
The tractn_consent cookie remembers your category choices for up to 365 days. With Analytics enabled, Google Analytics uses cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish browsers and measure sessions on our public website. These identifiers are pseudonymous, not your name or email address.
With Analytics consent in the application, a confirmed new signup can also be measured through our server. It may reuse your public-site Analytics identifier when available. This event does not send your name, email address, internal account ID or private workspace URLs. Advertising personalization is disabled for this event. Marketing-email opt-in is a separate choice.
Use the Cookie settings button to change your choices or withdraw Analytics consent for future measurement. Preferences apply to the website or application hostname where you save them. You can also delete existing Analytics cookies in your browser settings. Withdrawing consent does not remove events already sent to Google.
2.3 Optional Tractn Advertising Measurement
If you enable Advertisement in Cookie settings under the current notice, Tractn can send a confirmed new account signup to Meta through its Conversions API. The event includes the confirmation time, a deduplication identifier, a fixed public signup URL, your browser user-agent and a SHA-256 hash of your normalized email address for matching. A hashed email address is pseudonymous, not anonymous. No name, password, billing data or private workspace content is included. This integration does not load a Meta tracking script inside your workspace.
Advertisement consent is separate from Analytics and marketing-email consent. Turn it off in Cookie settings to stop future events. Withdrawal does not delete events already sent to Meta. Preferences apply to the hostname where you save them.
3. Tracking Technologies Deployed by Users
Tractn provides tools that our users (businesses) can deploy on their own websites. These are not cookies on the Tractn application itself — they are technologies our users choose to embed on their websites:
3.1 Tractn Pixel
The Tractn Pixel is a JavaScript snippet that our users embed on their websites to track conversion events (e.g., sign-ups, form submissions, purchases). It collects:
- Event type and value
- UTM attribution parameters (source, medium, campaign)
- Referrer URL and landing page
- Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
- Anonymous session identifier
- Form data explicitly passed by the user's website (e.g., email, name)
Important: The Tractn Pixel does not set cookies on end-user devices. It uses server-side event collection. Our users are responsible for disclosing the Tractn Pixel in their own privacy policies, as they are the Data Controllers for their website visitors' data.
3.2 Email Tracking
Emails sent through Tractn's email automation features may include:
- Open tracking: A 1×1 transparent pixel image that records when an email is opened
- Click tracking: Links rewritten through a redirect URL to record click-throughs
These tracking mechanisms are standard email marketing practices. Our users are responsible for disclosing email tracking in their communications.
4. How to Manage Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View and delete existing cookies
- Block all cookies or only third-party cookies
- Set preferences for specific websites
Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging into and using the Tractn platform.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
